Secret Book Update - Rachael and Adam's Wedding

Well, it's Christmas and the album has been received so I can show it off now. This was my Daniel's cousins wedding, and while we didn't get to go we saw pictures and I stole some from their facebook pages and blogs to make a book for Christmas. I really like some of these pages. I do wish I had had some that I later found on Rachael's facebook page, and I'm going to offer to redo it for them...(I have a compulsion to be perfect).

RJs Gap Year

RJ is a Morehead Scholarship recipient from UNC-Chapel Hill. He decided to take a year off an travel the world, working and doing community projects. Here's a 70 page album documenting his year.

It was printed in a My Publisher classic album with the new leather cover. Pictures to follow.

Ethan's 1st Football Season

This is, as is often the case, a bit different. It's an album designed for an 11 year old's 1st football season. It was kind of challenging, since, well, I'm not an 11 year old boy (and never have been!), but I think I like the final version. As always, questions or comments are appreciated.

There's not a whole lot to report, I've been distracted with real life lately. But I should have some images from Ethan's Football book up soon, and hopefully a little bit of RJs Gap Year as well. That's pretty much it...

ZookBinder Photobook

I received the 1st of my Zookbinders photobooks today! I love it! I was a little nervous about it...it wasn't cheap and the company has gotten mixed reviews lately. But I think maybe the problem is the response time, and from what I understand, they're working on that. I'm going to post pictures of the book, but remember...I took them. And I am the world's worst photographer.

Secret Book

I just finished a new book that I can't post yet. It's going to be a gift for someone, and while I doubt they'll see the blog, it's not worth the risk. So, if anyone wants to check out my newest wedding album, send me an email. Otherwise, I'll post the pics around Christmas time.

RIver Boat Trip

My inlaws spent 10 days on a River Boat Trip through Europe this summer, and I put together an album for them for a Christmas gift. It is being printed by zookbinders in a 7.5" square photobook, but till it gets here, here are the layouts!

Jess and Wes's Wedding

This is the most recent album. I don't really know how I feel about it. I like some pages, others I'm not as sure about. It's also getting mixed reviews. Comments would be VERY appreciated!

It's final version will be printed in a Zookbinders Photobook 6x9. Each of these pictures is a 2 page spread.

Savannah Kate

Savannah is an absolutely beautiful little girl with a very cute little brother. This album shows Savannah's 2nd year.

Animoto.com - Very Cool Site!

Besides the fact that this video demonstrates VERY VERY clearly why I'm not a photographer (which a ton of peopl have asked since I started the business), it's such a cool thing. Animoto.com takes your pictures and music and puts together a music video. Seriously, it's not a slideshow, it's much much cooler. And you can remix it as many times as you want. A 30 second video (as many as you want) is free, and a full length one is $3 or a one time yearly fee of $30 (I think!). Check it out:)

Daniel's 1st Love - Toyota MR2

My husband loves his car. I mean, he LOVES his car. It is his baby. He adores it. He is happy just looking at it. Well, on Monday he had pictures of it taken by the awesome Jess Cumbie of www.blissfulphotos.com. The pictures turned out great...here's a sampling (ok, never mind they ended up above). Contact Jess if you need pictures taken of your car, your wedding, your family or anything else. She's awesome!

Well, he wanted a book for his car. I made a kind of crappy one a few years ago for his previous MR2 and he wanted one for this one. I'll add pictures of the book when it comes, but for now, here's a slideshow of the pages:

Kimmy's 50th Birthday Book

My mom turned 50 on May 25. To say she was unhappy is quite the understatement. To cheer her up we had a surprise luncheon with her favorite people and I put together a book of pictures and letters from her closest friends and family.

Ben and Shanida's Wedding Album

Ben and Shanida were the 1st couple to ever be married at the Jacksonville Landing. This wedding was shot by Jess Cumbie Photography, check out her page to see more great work!

I got Photoshop - and other news!

I am so excited to finally have photoshop! It should start making all of my work go much, much faster.

50th Birthday Book

New Album and Some in the Works!

I uploaded the album I put together for my mom's 50th Birthday. It's not my best work ever, but it's sweet and shows a different style and some new ideas.

I also have a couple of projects going. I am working on a 2006 Debutante Album, focusing on the parties and the ball of the local coterie.

Also, I am going to be working with Jess Cumbie Photography to create albums for her clients. I am going to be making a sample album over the next few weeks featuring her work.

And...I am planning to revise my wedding album. It was my 1st ever, and I think I can make it even better now. Plus, I want to order a sample of the flushmount album and I will use my pictures:) Can't hurt to have my own fancy album, right?

James and Christine married in December of 2002. Yes, it's been a while:) However, they only asked me to do an album this spring. Their wedding took place in Tampa, Florida. James and Christine are happily married now with 2 children, 1 girl and 1 boy. I think this album shows the beauty of this couple and their day.
