I was commissioned to do a 50-copy book for SCI. These are 12.5x10 Fable books with 40 pages each. Obviously, the organization received a multi-purpose discount!

Laura and Luke's Wedding
This is a complete departure from my normal style. Very simple, but w/ embellishments and stuff. I did this last night, REALLY quickly, and there are some changes I'm still planning to make. I was just learning how to use brushes, after all!
Anyway, Laura is my husbands cousin, and I decided to use her wedding to experiment with - wouldn't be good to use someone who paid me to play with a new style! It's a surprise for her mom's birthday.
Anyway, my husband likes it. I'm less sure, but I think w/ a few changes I can get it there.

TWB Mountain Hunts
I guess some people will be turned off by this book, but, well, I really like some of the pages, so I'm putting it up here! It's my dad's hunting trips in Mountain locations. It's kind of interesting and some of the scenery is gorgeous, even if you're not into the whole dead animal thing:)

Blog Party 2008!!!
Welcome to the Ultimate Blog Party 2008! If you don't know what that is, head on over to The Ultimate Blog Party.
I just learned about the blog party today, from my Cousin-in-Law Kelly's blog, which is odd, considering just HOW MUCH TIME I spend reading blogs every day. But that's Ok. Better late than never:) (I tend to run late to IRL parties anyway).
The party over here at Once Upon a Memory has a lot going on. 1st, you can learn a little about me and a little about 1M. 2nd, We have prizes! Yep that's right. There's a giveaway goin' on. And 3rd, we've got the cutest party guests around!
About Me
THE BASICS: I'm 26, married for almost two years to Daniel (our 10 year dating anniversary is 3/21...I'm not givin' up 10 years, darnit!), I've got 2 adorable dogs, a beautiful horse (or 2) and a baby on the way. I don't really know yet if he's cute, but based on his US, I'd say yes (that's a he in the purely generic sense. I'm still 6 weeks away from knowing the details!). I design albums and announcements (more on that), and am a part-time counseling grad student.
THE BUSINESS: Once upon a Memory was created to be an affordable way for brides (or parents or any kind of people) to get affordable albums. My main staple is coffee table style books. A nice book to keep out and page through. I also offer digital flushmount books. My designs are customized to your style - from modern to classic, busy to calm, colorful or black and white. Whatever you want I can provide. I also LOVE to designs announcements for births or Save the Dates or party invitations. If you've got photos I can make them fun:)
INTERESTS: I love to read. It's a truly unhealthy passion. I watch too much tv, and spend WAAAAAY too much time reading blogs. All kinds of blogs. Politics, moms, educations, psych, law (I went to law school...forgot that part), animal, whatever. I just love them. I love to be outside, go on the boat, to the beach, whatever.
Now for the party guests...I'm sure you'll agree there are some cuties over here!
My Moe
MacDougal
Lorelei aka LouLou
The Baby
And for the prize. If I had known earlier, I would have donated a prize to the UBP. Since I didn't, I'm just going to do a giveaway here. So here are the rules:
Check out the blog or website (to make sure youlike what I do) and leave a comment with your email address so I can contact the winners. I'll do a random drawing once the Blog Party is over on the 14th and there will be TWO WINNERS. The 1st place winner will win a custom designed announcement or invitation and 20 cards+envelopes. The 2nd place winner will win the design work alone. Good luck!
And if anyone is interested in the baby's progress or the crazy thoughts in my head, head to the baby blog!
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the party!

Long Day, Good Day
Yesterday was a very long day, but it was a good'n! Jess Cumbie and I went to Tampa to the ImagingUSA Expo. Yes, Jacksonville to Tampa to Jacksonville between 7am and 7pm. And y'all know I'm NOT an early riser!!!
It was a fun day though: I got to look at lots of great album samples without having to purchase them (more on my new choices later) and Jess bought a Shootsac (the cuteness of the ShootSac made me wish YET AGAIN that I could be a photographer! Why can't I have that talent???).

Happy New Year Giveaway!
The 1st person to purchase an album from me in 2008 will receive that album at my cost - this can be a photographer's sample album, an engagement book, guestbook, baby book, wedding album, whatever you choose, from any of the many companies that I can purchase from! This means you pay nothing for my time or design work.
